- American odds
- Odds shown as a positive or negative number that tells you how much you win per $100 wagered.
- Arbitrage
- Betting on all possible outcomes with different sportsbooks to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian handicap
- A spread that removes the draw option and splits the bet into two handicap levels, giving a finer betting choice.
- Banker
- A heavily favored selection that is expected to win and is often used to secure larger bets.
- Bankroll
- The total money you have set aside for placing bets.
- Bonus
- Extra money added to your account, usually only withdrawable after you have wagered a set amount.
- Both teams to score
- A bet on whether each side will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet early, collecting a set amount before the match ends.
- Decimal odds
- Odds shown as a single number that includes your stake, used to calculate total returns.
- Draw no bet
- A bet where you win if your team wins and get your stake back if the match ends in a draw.
- Free bet
- A bet provided by the sportsbook that you can use without risking your own funds.
- Futures
- A bet on an event that will be decided in the future, such as which team will win the World Cup.
- Hedging
- Placing a bet on the opposite outcome to cut potential loss or lock in a profit.
- Juice
- The extra percentage a bookmaker adds to the odds, representing the house's edge.
- Live betting
- Placing bets on a match that is already happening, with odds that change as the game goes on.
- Matched betting
- Using free bets to cover every outcome of a market so you secure a risk‑free profit.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win the match, with odds displayed as a positive or negative figure.
- No‑deposit bonus
- A reward credited just for creating an account, allowing you to bet without making a deposit.
- Over/Under
- A wager on whether the total number of goals scored will be higher (over) or lower (under) than a set line.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links two or more selections and pays out only if all of them win.
- Point spread
- A handicap assigned to the favorite or underdog to make the betting odds more even.
- Prop bet
- A bet on a specific event inside a match, such as which player scores first.
- Underdog
